Funding Opportunities

Research support services is the central contact point at Universität Regensburg for all questions on external funding for research projects and funding applications.

• We offer support in finding funding opportunities for your project - in personal contact as well as in our newsletter and regular events.
• We offer counsel and assistance for funding applications.
• We offer specialized support for EU funding applications.
• We organize the transfer of projects from and to Regensburg.

The complementary service point for technology transfer at Universität Regensburg is the department FUTUR.

To give us time for an adequate and sound consultation, please contact us in good time ahead of an application (as a general rule 4 weeks ahead of the deadline). In some cases, it is necessary and compulsory to contact Department IV/5 ahead of an application:

• if a binding signature by a representative of the university is needed
• if a project needs additional funding / co-financing by the university
• if additional rooms or infrastructure are neccessary for the project

If you apply for the establishment of collaborative research centres, research groups and PhD programmes, Department IV/5 needs to be:

• informed whether a positive provisional funding decision exists
• able to review the application in due time before it is printed
